Shalom Everyone!
My name is Dan Argentar and I am excited to be part of the Shorashim Bus 146 staff and I cannot wait to share an amazing experience with all of you. As Becky said in her introduction, this blog will be a place that we document some of our experiences and periodically share our thoughts with our friends and family back home.
This will be my 14th Shorashim trip to Israel - 13 as a staff member - and my 15th Israel trip overall. Each and every trip is unique and special to me. I love hiking in the North, I love the beach in Tel-Aviv, I love feeling at 'home' in Jerusalem, and I even love the nature in the Negev Desert of the South, but the one constant that makes Shorashim special is the Israeli participants. I cannot wait for us all to be together and to share an amazing adventure!
When I'm not leading Shorashim trips, I live in Northbrook, Illinois with my wife of nearly 11 years, our two sons - Amichai age 7 and Nadav age 4, and our dog. I am a high school English teacher and literacy specialist - leaving my summers free to frolic in travel. I love music and sport - especially my Illini, White Sox, and Blackhawks!
I'd write more, but I have about 175 essays that aren't going to grade themselves - and if I don't finish them, I don't get to go to Israel!
